Brooks Launch 5 Mini Review and RUNderful Wednesday (Global Running Day)

The middle of the week is here, and we've made it this far, so we have a lot to be thankful for. Sometimes it's large and life changing and sometimes it's very small. It's the little things that count, right? 😊 I've been thinking a lot lately about attitude and positivity, and how to keep it going even when times may be tough, and there really is no simple answer. During rough times (or even good ones!), it's beneficial to remind ourselves of something positive in our lives, things we love. Today I'm going to talk about something that makes me HAPPY:

ANYTHING tie dye for the Summer. 😎😍

Also, HAPPY GLOBAL RUNNING DAY!! Today Feels like Christmas came early, as I have been waiting for this day for a long time. I was sick last Running Day, and was sick yesterday but feeling much better today, so I am looking forward to logging some miles after work. I guess this is the time of year for me to be under the weather! There are some companies out there having sales today only, like Gone For A Run, so check them out. Also, for anyone interested in running one of the races in the Rock n Roll series, today only they are having a big sale, so head on over and sign up! I will see you guys in San Diego and in San Antonio next year- can’t wait!

Recently I've fallen in love with anything tie dye print, and (not so recently) I've been obsessed with the Brooks Launch 5 shoes, so put those two hands together and I'm in heaven. I suspect a lot of people are in love with this combination as well, since they sold out in about 24 hours on their website. In my opinion Brooks makes some of the best quality and color patterned shoes around, hands down.

This beautiful color pattern was made by Brooks for the 2018 Rock 'N Roll half marathon series. The Launch 5s stayed true to their reputation, and I was definitely not let down. For running shoes I always order one whole size up from my normal shoe size (1/2 size just doesn't work for me). It's a great fit for me and I also haven't had any problems with my toenails since I have started sizing up. Good riddance for that. I ran an 8 miler with them right out of the box and didn't experience any rubbing, hot spots, etc. There was absolutely no break-in time needed. The Launch shoes in general are a light weight neutral shoe, and I think the Launch 5 is even lighter than the 4s. Personally, I like the minimalistic running shoes but I have way too many issues to ever use them comfortably. The Launch provide the cushion and support I need without going overboard.

I even love the Brooks aglets (those little things on the ends of the shoe laces). These are tie dye, and I have had some that say little inspirational things on them like "Dig Deeper". What impresses me so much about Brooks is the company's attention to detail.

Running shoes make me so happy, and I LOVE the bright fun patterns. They make the hot Summer sun a bit more bearable. If you're interested, you can get your hands on some tie dye Brooks Launch 5s at this year's Rock 'N Roll fitness expos, and if you can't make it out there, they have other cool options on their website, www.brookrunning.com. If the Launch 5 shoes aren't for you, they have a section on their website that can help you decide what type of shoes might work, as fitting shoes are a personal decision. Either way, lace up those shoes, get out the door, and MAKE TODAY RUNDERFUL!! 😀
